Junior High and Confirmation

Junior High and Middle School Youth... UNITE!

...for faith building fun and fellowship on Sunday evenings with an active group of great kids with guidance from some awesome adults.

Sunday School- (9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings...) For Junior High Youth, grades 6-8, Sunday School is a traditionally structured classroom program always taught by two teachers. During the summer a Sunday School class is offered in the youth house.

Confirmation is for 7th and 8th grade youth and meets every Sunday during the school year from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  Confirmation youth serve as acolytes during worship services.

Jr. High Youth, 6th, 7th and 8th graders enjoy many activities together such as lock-in's, bonfires, High Ropes Challenge course at Camp Wartburg, Youth Quake Jr. High Retreat, visiting O'Fallon Healthcare Center, and much more.  The schedule is located on the church calendar here.

Serving- Junior High and Confirmation age youth often lend a hand with Faith Builders, Property Work Day, Vacation Bible School or Fellowship Events. During worship, Junior High or confirmation age youth can be found ushering or hosting, assisting as an acolyte or crucifer, or helping to set up the Fellowship cart.  Junior High youth can set up for special events, help with games during Fall FunFest and the preschool PizzaFest and can help to maintain the Nature trail and outdoor classrooms on the church property.  There are many ways to serve in faith at Faith.

The Youth House: The Youth House is a wonderful facility on the church property that used to be the parsonage. It was renovated in 1998 and converted into a safe and comfortable place for youth to hang out with their friends. The Youth House has many resources for youth to enjoy -- TV's, DVD/VCR players, ping-pong table, pool table, foosball table, a karaoke machine and many other games and activities which have been donated by the people of Faith Lutheran Church.
